“Central Pest Control” has been
in operation for over 30 years.
As such, we are hardly a “fly by
night” company. We have operated
out of the same address for
decades and have built up an
intimate working relationship
with our clients, many of whom
have engaged our services on a
regular basis since our
inception.
The Managing Director, Paul de
Haan and his well trained pest
technicians (full time
employees, not sub contractors)
have provided Sydneysiders with
safe, effective and affordable
solutions to all their pest
problems.
We are extremely proud to be one
of the first Australian pest
companies to have introduced
non-chemical and low irritant
treatments to our clients by
means of “botanical”,
“pyrethrum” and “synthetic
pyrethroid” control agents.
(Approved by the Australian
Pesticides and Veterinary
Medicines Authority in Canberra)
for use in Hospitals, Child Care
Centres, Food Preparation areas
and many other sensitive
situations).
Central Pest Control is a small
family run business and we take
care of and respect your home
and workplace. Although we have
had ample opportunity to enlarge
the business significantly we
have chosen to remain a
“boutique” company with very low
overheads. These low overheads
are reflected in our highly
competitive pricing. It also
enables us to build up an
intimate knowledge of our
clients’ different pest
concerns. In fact the pest
technician/s who have treated
your dwelling for the last 6
years will be, in all
likelihood, the same technicians
who turn up next year.
OUR PEST CONTROL QUALIFICATIONS
Importantly, for our most
valuable asset (you, the
client), our business is fully
registered with The Department
of Fair Trading, fully
registered and licensed with
Workcover, fully insured with
Pacific International Insurance
Limited ($5 million dollars
Public Liability and $500,000.00
Professional Indemnity), have
workers compensation insurance
for all our pest technicians
with CGU Workers Compensation
Limited and we are a fully
fledged member of the AEPMA
(Australian Environmental Pest
Managers Association).
It is in your best interest to
engage a company with the fore
mentioned insurances/
qualifications rather than an
unlicensed, uninsured company
(and yes, regrettably, there are
such pest establishments out
there, although fortunately,
they are in the minority).
Whilst we carry out all general
pest control work, we specialize
in termite (white ant) work and
are certified to use “Exterra”,
“Homeguard”,“Termador”, “Biflex”
and “Premise” and have
certification of Course
Completion in “Termite
Inspection, Monitoring and
Eradication”.
Our company has literally saved
over 3,900 Australian homes from
subterranean termite (white ant)
attack throughout the last 33
years. We are happy to provide

Although we have been around a
while, make no mistake we are at
the fore front of world’s best
pest practices. In fact
Australian pest managers lead
the world with their expertise
in tackling difficult termite
(white ant) infestations. At our
disposal, we use high tech.
termite detecting equipment such
as moisture meters, borerscopes,
and sounding equipment. We have
also purchased a 2007 model
infra red thermal imaging camera
designed to detect evidence of
termites (white ants) in
previously inaccessible areas.
This state of the art camera is
a FLIR camera, the company, FLIR
being the undisputed world
leader in commercial infra red
cameras.
